The Takeaway: a popular rv resort on the far eastern shore of MD (not to be confused with the `Western Shores' nor the `Eastern Shore') protected from the Atlantic by Assateague Island and boasting its own private sandy beach with bar and food cabana. It offers many amenities and is close to famed Ocean City, Berlin, and Assateague Island National Park. A destination campground serviced by well maintained multiple bath/shower/laundry facilities, cafes' and free shuttle bus. A good vacation spot... Read More

We booked in this campground when the Pandemic was happening, and we have been on the road for almost 4 months at that time we were shocked at the price for nothing but a full hookup, yes with everything going around everything was closed but why charge your summer rates when you could not use any of the facilities you should have been charging the winter rates or discounted the summer rate. As other people said the golf carts with the kids are out of control and the so-called security did nothing,... Read More

Over all I dont know if I will come back..

This is a very expensive campground for what you get! The sites are nice, but there are too many of them! The small pool is always crowded, and the beach is a mudflat and not appealing. Like others say, the golf carts and bikes fly around all day and night. While we were there, the bathhouse/laundry had no hot water. The WiFi only worked on 1 of the days we stayed, and the staff just laughs it off and says it's "wonky." We did enjoy the shuttle, which goes to Ocean City and Assateague Island.... Read More

This is a nice park and it is close to Ocean City. We stayed there a couple years ago with a very good experience, this year was the opposite. People, old and young like to walk and ride bikes through the camp site many times a day and disrupt our camping experience. The kids ride bikes, scooters and golf carts throughout the camp like its the Indianapolis 500. This is not a the average camping we have experienced around the country, rather its a place for anything goes and get wild. We were... Read More

We were warned by camp personnel one night at 10:30 in the evening to lock everything up as there were some problems that night, then we saw staff patrolling the camp at night. Such as nice camp ground, but people with no manners. All in all, unless you are a juvenile delinquent, this place is not for you.

This is not a peaceful, serene place and it's not inexpensive. It is otherwise top-notch with clean spacious sites and plenty of facilities and staff. They also must have patrolled the camp at night on the weekend, because the drunken revelers actually ceased their senseless yelling at quiet time Saturday night.

How to read Good Sam Ratings
The three-number rating that accompanies each campground listing in the directory gives readers an at-a-glance assessment of a campground's amenities, cleanliness and environment. All three ratings categories are measured on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best. Less than 1 percent of parks or campgrounds receive the coveted 10 | 10 | 10 rating, which indicates superior facilities that are well maintained, clean, well-appointed restrooms and a highly appealing appearance. Campgrounds are inspected annually by dedicated RVers like you.
Completeness of facilities
10 10 10
The first campground rating evaluates completeness and quality of facilities. In this category we rate interior roads, sites, registration area, hookups, recreation, swimming, security, laundry, store and building maintenance.
Cleanliness of restrooms and showers
10 10 10
The second rating category concerns the cleanliness and physical characteristics of toilets, walls, showers, sinks/counters/mirrors and floor. If a park achieves a full point in each of the above, it receives a star ( ), indicating exceptionally clean restrooms.
Also rated are physical characteristics of restrooms, including interior construction, adequate supplies/odor free, adequate number of facilities, exterior appearance and location in relation to park spaces, and interior appearance.
Visual appeal and environmental quality
10 10 10
This category addresses the park's setting and site layout, function and identification of signage, overall exterior building maintenance, noise, trash disposal, litter and debris around the grounds and sites, and appearance of grounds, sites and entrance area.
What is being rated?
