CORONA VIRUS QUARANTINE:
Since it is not likely that we will return for the foreseeable future, I am going to try to implement some feature for online assessment.

3/23/20-In the meantime, I am going to assign the composition of original sentences for Unit 6 words per use. Words #1-5, #6-10, #11-15, & #16-20 will be due by Monday 3/30/20. Hopefully I can arrange a simple submission process for uploading your work for me to review.

Parents/ Students,
This lesson plan is intended to be accomplished over a period of 14 days.
A suggested PACING GUIDE is to do 20-30 minutes per day as you first introduce the words; then, 10-15 minutes every other day to keep "touching" these 20 new words and prepare for the quiz.
Students are to utilize theonline componentsat www.vocabularyworkshop.com to introduce the 20 new vocabulary words inUNIT 6
Use:
1).Read along with audio of the Introductory paragraph on p. 70-71
2). Follow with the audio presentation to introduce the correct pronunciation, definition, and model sample of the separate USES of each new word( per Part of Speech) pp. 72-74
*********QRfeature can be accessed with smart phones (see p. iii in front of book.
3). Complete the Activity pages 75-79.
4). Spend a minimum of 1 hour over the 2+ weeks quarantine with the online activities. Practice the uses, definitions, and develop your understandings of the meanings and uses of the 20 new words.
****for the online componentsto be credited as CW/CP which is 25% of your grade, your parent must monitor your computer activity and sign off that you have spent a minimum of an hour using the games, flashcards, audio pronunciations, and online quizzes. We will check the activity pages and quiz on your return.
