The Ocean City Golf Club is located in Berlin, Maryland. At only a 10-minute drive from one town to the other, it’s the perfect place to visit and go golfing on your vacation. The Seaside Course is the best course to check out while you’re in the area.
The Seaside Course opened in 1959 and offers a beautiful view of the bay. It’s a traditional design but offers enough variety to make it challenging. It works for all levels of golfers.

Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links is located in Berlin Maryland, just on the other side of Sinepuxent Bay from Ocean Point. 17 out of the 18 holes feature a stunning view of the bay. Some of the holes even allow you to play over the bay to shorten the distance between your ball and the hole.
The course was built by Pet and P.B. Dye and opened in 1997. It’s a Scottish-style links course. It’s one of the only courses in the area to feature bent grass on the fairways and greens.

Bayside Resort Golf Club is not actually in Maryland at all but in Delaware. Selbyville, Delaware is 30 minutes away from Ocean City in Maryland. Despite the distance, it’s well worth the drive. It was Jack Nicklaus’ first signature golf course in Delaware.

Newport Bay is the other course at the Ocean City Golf Club and is also worth a trip. The course offers wetland scenery while you’re golfing. It’s considered one of the most scenic courses on the east coast as every one of the 18 holes features either bay views, marsh views, or a mix of both.
The course is challenging, forcing you to continuously hone your skills to conquer the course. It’s the perfect course if you’re looking for something outside of the traditional design and want to keep water in your line of sight at all times, you need to visit the Newport Bay golf course.

Plantation Lakes is a unique golf course. It’s part of a country club located in the middle of a housing development. Getting to become a member of the Plantation Lakes Country Club is actually one of the perks of living in the area. The course was designed by Arthur Hills and was opened in 2015. It has some harder holes but is plenty of fun for any skill level. If you want some time to warm up before you head out onto the course, there are also driving ranges and a shot-game area with a chipping green and practice bunkers.

Designed with nature in mind, this course offers stunning views of the local area, pristine marshland, and the bay with every hole. It even shows off some stunning skylines of Ocean City itself.
This course is located in Bishopville, Maryland, which is right across the water from Ocean City and Ocean City Beach, creating stunning views. It’s only about a five-minute drive over MD-90 to get from North Ocean City to the golf course.
7. Eagle’s Landing

Technically, Baywood Greens consists of two courses. There is the Woodside Course and the Waterside Course. Both have nine holes, which makes them perfect to do together for the full 18-hole experience.
As the names suggest, the Woodside Course has nine holes going through hardwoods and flowers. The area is full of wildlife and vulnerable plant and animal species to appreciate while you’re waiting. The Waterside Course has nine holes that let you see constant views out over the water. There are also tunnels and timbered bridges to keep you interested and focused on the game at hand.
9. Bear Trap Dunes

This course was designed by an associate of Jack Nicklaus, Rick Jacobsen. He’s also well-known for his course designs and Bear Trap Dunes is no different. The name comes from its high use of natural sand dunes in the area.
Despite being part of the scenery, these dunes are strategically placed around the course and other hazards to force players to think their way through a hole. There are a total of 27 holes, allowing you to try out all sorts of styles and skills while out on the green.
10. Heritage Shores Club

This is another course located in Delaware. Despite that, it’s still less than an hour’s drive from Ocean City, making it a great day trip. This course was designed by Arthur Hills. It offers a maximum of 7,005 yards with five different tee boxes to make it the perfect course for any player.
This club uses a classic links style. The water alongside almost every hole adds a bit of a challenge for any player. If you and your partner are both obsessed with golf, the clubhouse also offers a stunning wedding venue.
11. Ocean Pines Golf Club

If you’re a fan of Robert Trent Jones, you have to visit the Ocean Pines Golf Club. It’s the only championship course by him on the east coast of Maryland. The course meanders through natural wetlands and woodlands to create a challenging course.
Though the course is challenging, it’s not overly difficult or unfair. If you do find yourself having a bit of a hard time, the staff is more than willing to offer a mix of tips and tricks. This is an older course, first built in 1972.
12. The Rookery

Pete Oakley and Chris Adkins teamed up to create a challenging and beautiful golf course full of water. They ended up making the course now known as The Rookery. The course was built in 2000, which means it’s full of more modern challenges.
